But the first part, why insist on this? They're hardly "private". 1) How is the chairman of the Fed chosen? By the POTUS and then confirmed by the Senate. All government, ergo "federal". Does McDonald's do this? No. 2a) Can the Fed print money? Yes. All day long. They have done so for well over a century now. 2b) Can private entities do this? Absolutely not. That's called counterfeiting and is a hefty felony. McDonald's cannot decide to improve its P&L statements by printing money like the so-called "private" Federal Reserve Bank can.

Haha i bought a tmnt 40th anniversary silver coin from the perth mint from sd bullion, but i wanted 1 coin so that it cost me about 49 bucks to get when the spot was 28 bucks, but i needed that coin haha but i would spend much more on gold eagles or maples, and maybe .......brits too, they do look nice, and in gold they dont milk spot do they?

Ive gotten back into stacking, well i cared for numismatics more in the past, ive been more onto one or the other back and forth, but now as a stacker, after 100 silver oz i kind of wont buy anymore silver until i get at least 1 oz gold, i lie because like silver coins over as many fallen nations as i can, now thats when im more numismatic. What i say is buy silver until you relize you should buy gold, then when you realize the difference be wise, i think stack 500 oz of silver, and during that time stack 2, or5 or, 10 oz gold in the mean time

I think it’s more appropriate to assess the value of the $10K fine in the present day in ounces of gold not “inflation adjusted.” $10K fine is equivalent to 500 oz of gold which would be north of $1M today not $250K

The talking points you're mentioning are very common with some American investor types, the ones who were laughing at the possibility of an economic recession or the decline of the dollar until recently, now they change their tune and accuse others of throwing shit at the wall. I never heard anyone on YT saying that the dollar will lose it's value completely, what everyone is saying is that it's value is inflated, and the cornerstones of it's position are shaky and when the dollar goes to it's rightful place, it will go down fast. And I completely agree with this assessment. When the dollar starts to lose value, how will the US sustain it's instruments of power which sustains the dollar? How will sustain it's gov. spending? It will fall like a house of cards. There have been popular currencies throughout history, none could be fairly compared to the dollar, especially the ones before the industrial revolution. The chart you showed mentions countries, not currencies. These countries had many currencies, all of them backed by something, the vast majority were backed by gold and/or silver, the dollar is the first currency backed by military power and nothing else since 1971, it's downfall is long overdue, actually the dollar should have never gotten to what it is today, but you know.. the USA alone was the winner of WW2 The dollar has an exceptional position, unmatched throughout history, especially taking into consideration the times we live in: the internet, crypto..etc If it falls, the USA would have to compete with the world on equal footing. The dollar's might is achieved by multiple factors, not just by the GDP of the USA, it's also backed by the petrodollar, and overall trust in the power of USA. The petrodollar is on very shaky ground (eg. Saudi-arabia joining bricks and showing willingness to sell petrol in other currencies, many oil exporting countries joining bricks), countries being able to bypass USA sanctions and continue to sell their oil in other currencies. Once trust and the petrodollar go and U.S. treasuries start to lose value, it will start to fall fast. I'm not arguing that it's value will go to 0, but it would be catastrophic if in a very short period of time, the dollar loses 75% of it's value (pardon me if I can't say an exact number and date). I argue that the dollar will be a fraction of what's it's worth today and soon, the fact the nobody can give a timeline is because nobody can predict every detail of the future, and a lot of little details make the future, what the world knows is that this system is unfair and is run by a bully. For example: the result of the war in the middle east will decide if the petrodollar will take a massive hit or delay it. In our day and age we can create an alternative to the dollar. For example, the mbridge project is just one possibility which offers non centralized flexible international payments with CBDCs We do agree on something though: buy gold, and the time to buy it is now. The moment future is clear to everyone, it would probably be too late to buy.

If each goldback is 1/1000th of an oz of gold. Today at that rate 1/1000th of a toz of gold is only 2.36USD , So at the time of this video each gold back was worth about 3.75 each, but today that same amount of gold in each gold back are only worth 2.36 each.

The con of digital currency backed by gold (or other precious metals): as you mentioned, ultimately politicians. As you know, our currency was once based on precious metals. That failed because there is a limited supply of these commodities and the government, increasingly wanted to take in more money.

I personally won’t be buying any, but bullion exchanges online has them selling for at spot price. They’ve been at that price for weeks now. Not very popular I guess

TL 15 and TL 30 safes are inexpensive. The first one I bought on Craigslist was a Mosler TL15. I paid $400. for it and I had to move it. Next one was Diebold TL30. I paid $500. for that one and had to move it of course. The last one is another Diebold TL 30 but it has another safe in the bottom. That one was free. I had to move it was all they wanted. All three of the are able to have the combination changed with a change key. Simple enough. Moving a 1200lb safe is not easy. I rent a 2 ton box truck with a hydraulic lift gate. The doors will come off of most large safes. An engine cherry picker and some 2" straps make lifting the door off easy enough. The doors are solid steel 2" thick with a 1/2" hardened plate behind the dial on the inside. The walls are 1" solid steel. It takes a long time to move something that heavy. Once you get it home it's more work to get it in the house and set it into place. 2 guys aren't going to move them without the proper tools and equipment
